Q: What can I expect from my first appointment?

A: For Dental Services: Your first visit to Haigler Dental Care is the start of a close, long-term relationship with your dentist and your dental team. Not only will these assessments help us get to know you better, but also they will allow the team to get a complete picture of your dental and overall health. This information will provide the groundwork for your personalized treatment options.

Your appointment will include:

    • Digital radiographs (X-rays)
    • Periodontal and restorative evaluation
    • Oral cancer screening
    • Intraoral evaluation and photographs

For Orofacial Pain, Oral Medicine, or Sleep Apnea: Your first appointment will likely be at least an hour as we check your history of symptoms, health history, and complete your evaluation. Your appointment may include necessary radiographs.

Financial Policy

General Dentistry: We are concerned about your dental health and we look forward to helping with your dental care. Please remember that although your dental insurance is your responsibility… we can help! Regardless of what we might calculate as your dental benefit in dollars, we must stress the fact that you, the patient, are responsible for the total treatment fee. However, as a courtesy to you, we can accept assignment of benefit payments from most insurance companies. This will reduce your immediate, out-of-pocket expenditures. Since the estimates made are based on limited information obtained from your insurance company, we allow 60 days for your insurance company to make a payment. After this time, the remaining balance and all inquiries (follow-up) on payments will become your responsibility. We are also happy to help you inquire about eligibility for Care Credit (health care financing).

Oralfacial Pain, Oral Medicine, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea: We are concerned about your health and look forward to helping you with your care. Please remember that, as a courtesy to you, we are happy to file your medical insurance. We must stress that you, the patient, are responsible for the total treatment fee. We are happy to help you inquire about the eligibility for Care Credit (health financing). After 60 days, the remaining balance and all follow-up inquiries to insurance become your responsibility.

Q: What different payment options do you provide?

A: Helping to make your dental care financially comfortable and affordable is important. We accept cash, check, or credit card on the day that treatment is rendered. For extensive treatment, you may prefer to secure CareCredit financing, which offers 0% interest for 12 months.

In addition, we are happy to estimate your fees and insurance reimbursement before beginning your recommended treatments, and we will gladly file insurance forms for you. Optimal, comprehensive dentistry is what we practice, and we do not base our treatment on what insurance will or will not pay. We base our treatment on what is best for you, and any treatment not paid by insurance is your financial responsibility.
